➢ Appreciation of the site concerning key onshore and offshore features.
➢ Assessment of potential traffic
➢ Operating and functional considerations.
➢ Preparation of concept plan.
➢ Preparation of order-of-magnitude cost estimates.
➢ Arriving at key conclusion points concerning the feasibility aspects of the port.
Project Description
➢ The entire area required for port operations including storage, transportation, and other facilities will be reclaimed.
➢ An area of 364,000 m2 will be reclaimed along the landside for the development of a backup area.
➢ Containers, coal, and fertilizers will use both road and rail modes of transportation. However, in the initial phase, till the rail connectivity is established, this cargo will be moved by road and by rail from the nearest station near the destination.
➢ POL & liquid chemicals, cement, and miscellaneous cargo will be evacuated by road.
