Scope of Work

The following were considered for the wave wall designed as a breakwater.

➢ Design loads (wave, seismic, wind, etc.) for sea wall/breakwater. 
➢ Wave height criteria such as 1 in 100 years wave, storm surge, etc. 
➢ Wave overtopping criteria. 
➢ Soil characteristics and geotechnical data for reclamation.
➢ Topographic and bathymetric conditions.
➢ Type of material to be used for reclamation.

Project Description

➢ Preliminary Engineering & Drawings

• Shosam was appointed to review the preliminary design based on the Design Basis Report for the identified stretched for sea wall and reclamation area.
• The output of this task is the input for definitive engineering.

➢ Definitive Engineering 

• Based on the preliminary engineering and the inputs from various studies the definition of engineering of various items of work shall be reviewed. 
• The output of this task was the issue of good for construction drawings. 

➢ Review of specification

• The specification proposed by the Contractor both for reclamation and sea wall construction was reviewed. The review was based on the Indian and International codes as defined in the Design Basis Report. 

➢ Review of construction methodology

• The construction methodology as submitted by the Contractor was reviewed by Shosam
